Silver Run Cable Project(per Prysmian): Early plans are taking shape for the summer 2019 installation of (seven) 230kV cables across the Delaware River main channel in the Baker Range. The project will include up to (four) 3.2 hour complete channel closures for each of the seven cables to be installed and will last over two months, with disruptions requiring advance notice to transit lasting approximately eleven hours during each cable laying run. On the right sidebar of the MAC homepage, click on "Silver Run Cable Project" to see the anchor diagram and draft work plan/schedule for the project. Please bear in mind that the work plan is tentative and intended to show the flow of the schedule, but not specific dates. Due to fisheries restrictions, the earliest that cable ops can begin on Baker Range is July 1, 2019. The cable will be water-jetted to a depth of 25 feet below the river bottom. Prysmian (cable laying contractor) will attend the March 14 MAC Meeting to present on the project and answer questions. In the meantime, queries about the project can be directed to Prysmian reps Peter Watson: peter.watson@prysmiangroup.com or John Lafferty: john.lafferty@prysmiangroup.com
