Substrate Sampling in the Delaware Bay, Brandywine Range
A contractor, on behalf of the Army Corps of Engineers, will be conducting substrate sampling in a few locations, in the Delaware Bay. The first location is approximately 20 feet inside the red tow of the channel in Brandywine Range in approximate position latitude 39°03.562`N, longitude 075°10.208`W. The other locations are outside of the main navigation channel in the vicinity of the following position: latitude 38°56.800`N, longitude 075°05.103`W. Work will be conducted from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., from November 20, 2025, until on or about November 27, 2025. The contractor will be conducting the work from the research vessel (R/V) TESLA. Vessels are requested to contact the R/V TESLA 30 minutes prior to transiting Brandywine Range to make passing arrangements. The R/V TESLA may be contacted via VHF radio channel 13 or 16. Mariners are requested to transit the area with caution.
